to assist older adults, individuals with disabilities and their family members locate services they might need as well as other information that might be of interest. Our site has a collection of tools, resources, and educational information to help with this search. If you need more assistance you are encouraged to call our toll free number 1-800-243-5463 and speak to an Area Agency on Aging representative serving the area where you or your family member live. |

| If you know the services you are looking for then use Search for Services. The screen will show you a list of service providers for the county you selected.This will give a list of service providers for the location you selected and show you a map and directions to their location. |

| Alabama Connect provides a link to BenefitsCheckup.org. This site was developed and is maintained by The National Council on Aging (NCOA). It is a comprehensive Web-based service to screen for benefits programs for seniors with limited income and resources. |
| WebMD provides this service free of charge. The site is protected for privacy if you follow all procedures and personal safeguards. Our agency encourages seniors and their caregivers to consider using this service and keeping the information current in the event of a personal emergency or community disaster. |
| The Alabama Department of Senior Services is part of a coordinated preparedness system. This system serves and protects senior adults and other designated individuals. One of the primary functions of the Department is to serve as the coordinating body for the aging network in preparing for and recovering after a disaster. Coordinating service delivery efforts following a disaster, in order to normalize lives as quick as possible, is imperative. |
| Online Applications: Online applications permit you to complete and print applications for services which you MAY qualify for such as Food Assistance, Medicaid, etc. Each form must be completed individually for submission to the appropriate agency. Once printed, the application cannot be saved nor is any information you entered retained. |
